Somebody call PETA, The Poor Boy is Back in FUR

New Year’s Eve, the day of new hope, new dreams and hopefully a new start! I brought in the new year with friends, strangers, strobe lights and a nice tall glass of wine…or two! 2014 was one of the most challenging years of my life, from the loss of a 4.5 year relationship, friends, transitioning into the real world from college and the start of Grad School, all done while turning 24, can be stressful. Thank God for Clearsil, a pay check, a little champaign and some good retail therapy or I would have been more whacked than Amanda Bynes.

This ensemble was truly last minute. Somehow, I believe that’s when my best outfits come together! I usually don’t like white, but seeing it paired with a dreamy gray made for an exception to the rule of “No White After Labor Day”. This fur piece would definitely be considered the accent wall of this entire outfit. It came from Express and was ap pretty penny at $80.00. All-in-all, the look was a complete success, well, if you ask me!

Fashion Show Ready

I was invited to a fashion show at Columbia College by a member from the modeling troupe, Picture Perfect Modeling. I decided to go last minute, so I dashed home from work and had only a hour and a half to get ready. My thought when getting dressed was to look like a rich AFRICAN prince. So I chose the tribal long-lengthed shirt and added a piece of fur to bring in the animalistic experience of being from a jungle. If any of that made sense to you then pat yourself on the back because it didn’t for me! LOL
